Presbytery Mission Projects

Here are brief descriptions of some of our common PTCA mission projects done in the name of Jesus Christ.

Clearwater Forest
In partnership with three other presbyteries and the Synod of Lakes and Prairies, our presbytery owns, uses and supports this conference, retreat and camp center. Our support helps to assure the quality and affordable pricing of services and facilities provided by Clearwater Forest to hundreds of churches and thousands of people each year. Our support also helps to preserve the 1000 acre natural resource. For more information, visit www.clearwaterforest.org. Your gift will help this vital ministry continue.

Korean Adoptee Program:
The Korean Adoptee Program is a joint project with the Korean Presbyterian Church of Minnesota. This ministry reaches out with the gospel to Korean adoptees who face special challenges as young adults growing up in the U.S.A.

Matching Funds for Church Redevelopment
The Presbytery seeks to fund matching grants for congregations in redevelopment with the Synod and General Assembly. This is an important ministry as we seek to revitalize congregations.

New Church Development Fund
An important part of what we do as a Presbytery to continue our witness in this Presbytery is to start new congregations and assist them with the very expensive start up costs associated with New Church Developments. Your gift will help provide for future witness in new places. It takes about $100,000 to start a new church (excluding land and building).

Presbyterian International Partnership
Our partnership with the Transdanubian District of the Hungarian Reformed Church has been a rich experience for both sides of this partnership. We seek to have several exchanges each year. Funding primarily goes for travel expenses for Hungarians who could not otherwise afford to visit.

Transitional Housing Task Force
This program involves congregations in working with homeless families to do what it takes to move them into housing. This program recently received a matching grant from Synod and General Assembly. Gifts will go toward the Presbytery's share of this grant.
