Coffee and a light breakfast as well as snacks will be available during this training.
Invite your deacons, elders, and other (non-clergy) church leaders to this short morning training session offered by the PTCA and Ministry Lab. As mandated by the PC(USA) Book of Order (G-3.0106), this boundaries and child safety training will cover meaningful basics with clear, actionable steps. Church leaders will leave with clarity about their role in promoting healthy leadership and a safe church environment, some specific responsibilities and opportunities, and quick reminders for response or questions appropriate to situations that might arise.
Additional topics covered: harassment, confidentiality, and engaging congregational mental health dynamics as leaders
** This training does not fulfill the clergy boundaries training requirements (clergy training was offered recently, and alternative options can be found by contacting stated clerk John Curtiss), but clergy are encouraged to attend with their leaders for ongoing conversation or debriefing.
