Call to Meeting
In accordance with the Book of Order, Form of Government G-3.0304, and the Bylaws of the Presbytery of the Twin Cities Area, the Presbytery will meet in stated session from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 7, 2026. The meeting will include a time of worship. Lunch will be provided after the meeting and Presbyters are encouraged to stay and enjoy a time of fellowship together.
As we gather in community in these heavy but hopeful times, we will include pastoral space for prayer, ritual, and for group reflection in the space of our stated meeting and lunch. To serve that hope, if one of your methods for moving through these stressful times is to bake, we want to invite you to bring a pre-baked or par-baked loaf or cookies/treats to the stated meeting, so that we can warm them during the meeting. This is not only for the benefit of the warm bread or treats at the end with lunch, but so that we can all enjoy the beautiful smells throughout the meeting. If you wish to contribute a loaf or other treat, please let PLT Chair Elsa Kendig know so that we can plan our oven times. This will be a wonderful way of making room for us to bring the comfort of community to each other.
During lunch, there will also be the opportunity for those who desire to connect to discuss the ongoing presence of ICE in Minnesota. This small group gathering will be time for sharing stories and connecting resources.
This meeting will be held in hybrid session. Presbyters are encouraged to attend in person, if possible. Please pre-register for this meeting as early as possible. Pre-registration greatly helps with meal and meeting preparation.

Please take note: There has been a request to make our PTCA Stated Meeting peanut/nut-free. Please do not bring anything with peanuts/nuts to this meeting.
It is anticipated that at this meeting Presbyters will be asked to consider a recommendation from the congregation and session of First Presbyterian Church of Hastings, MN to concur with their decision to close and be dissolved. We hope to hear the story of First Presbyterian Church of Hastings, MN as they come to this final chapter of their 170-year ministry. Worship at this meeting will include choral musicians from the Oak Grove Presbyterian Church.
With Gratitude -
Rev. John HG Curtiss
Stated Clerk
