MISSION, SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS
Strategic Ministries
The Strategic Ministries Grants fund collaborative efforts in the Presbytery that support the strategic vision and ministry goals of the Presbytery within and beyond our congregations and encourage broad mission and discipleship efforts within the Presbytery.
Who can apply? Project proposals for these Strategic Ministry Grants are envisioned as broader than the work or needs of a single congregation, ministry site, or leader, but neither are they the exclusive responsibility of the Presbytery structure. Thus, project proposals could come from a group of congregations working together, from formal Presbytery groups or committees, from Presbytery officers or staff, or from an informal, grass-roots group within the Presbytery with an idea and passion for ministry. Additionally, the Presbytery could approach congregations and/or groups of leaders with proposals for partnership and, in that way, build a joint application.
What projects qualify? Projects that focus on the strategic vision and ministry goals of the Presbytery to support congregations, equip leaders, govern effectively, and dismantle systems that promote social and economic inequities and racism.
How large are the grants? No pre-determined limit on dollar amount. The size and scope of the ministry goals of the proposed project will help determine the amount, funding structure, and timeline of any grant.
